Father's Day

Well it’s that time of year again, and between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day I’ve had my hands full! This next week or so will probably be a little hairy getting everyone's prints assembled and shipped on time, so everyone please forgive me if I’m offline here and there.

Mother’s Day was kind of a scramble, because I forecasted a little short on the number of mats I would need to fulfill orders from my site. So this time around I ramped up a little bit, and hopefully forecasted enough to cover Father’s Day. It’s busy enough assembling & shipping, but just another added layer when I have to run to get more supplies!

Well anyway, a huge "thanks again!" to everyone who has ordered so far! I appreciate your business and I’ll make sure to get everything shipped out to you asap! For anyone still on the fence, if you could get your order to me by Monday 6/9 that would be a huge help. On my site I'm saying the official cutoff is Tuesday 6/10, but having even one extra day would a tremendous help. I really want to make sure everything gets out the door in time, and I definitely don’t want to leave anyone hanging!

Hello paul, thanks for the Blog its great, hope you gat all those orders out in time.

I am trying to get into Photography, Hubby has bought me all the gear, but I dont understand a word of it, He is saving up for the latest Digital canon for me, though I have not really used the last two he has got for me.
I have joined a Camera Club but they are still into slides and film, its all to much trying to get on with what I'v got without trying to work out other stuff.
Anyhow, I really just wanted to say "Thank You" for all your inspiration.

Thanks for directing me to the "where we live" exhibit at the Getty. Very cool. Your photography is so beautiful. I love every category. In many cases my shot are not the greatest...since the car is moving, but I love how time has moved on and these signs look like yesterday. There are tons of cool signs in phoenix with all the neon going on, but as of yet I haven't had time to try and photograph them. They probably date back to the 50s.

Hey there. Thanks for the nice comment in my blog! I think I definitely have a better idea of what a handfull my future children will be than some of my friends who didn't get the joy of the much-younger-sibling. Hehe.

I stopped by your website. I love the "nature" and "rustic" gallery. :)

Hi Paul,

Thanks for visiting me. Your photographs are so beautiful, no wonder you are busy!

To answer your question re the round robin book - in our case, no, each artist doesn't add to each page - with our round robin, we each started with a book with empty pages and created four of them like you saw on my blog. Then we sent the book along to the next person who added their own four pages and so forth. In our RR, four books are floating around the world, and will have a total of 16 pages each (four from each artist). We each get our original book back to keep. That's just how we are doing it but i have heard of ones where you add to the same page and create a collaborative piece like you said. And i have heard of books where there is just one and not four floating around. it's just the way we decided to do it that worked for us. We've really enjoyed it!

The photos you mentioned would be pretty great to see, where one person takes another exposure and adds to the other!

Hi Paul. That pix of the bridge is absolutely wonderful. So serene and lovely! Yes, get started on that family. It's just the most amazing thing. It's a very different kind of love that you never knew you were capable of. The kind that prompts you to put your kid on the world wide web so you can share with the world when she learns how to play 'twinkle, twinkle little star'!!
Cheers,
krissy

Hi, Paul -- you must be outrageously busy at this time of year -- between all the parental holidays, seasonal shows kicking into full gear -- WOW! Looking down your blog, I loved the photos you put in the post related to the juried exhibition!

Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog and commenting! I appreciate it!

Sounds like you're very busy! Your photos are beautiful.

...And you live in Venice, CA? Lucky you!

Good luck with the beagle if that's what you decide. I hear they're very intelligent (and barkers), but our dog is a barker too - if there's a noise, so that's good in my book ;)

Hi Paul,

I'm so glad you happened upon my blog, because I got to discover YOUR glorious work! Your photos are absolutely breathtaking. I especially love your nature series. It's no wonder you got more orders than expected! Kudos to your success. Good luck on the juried exhibition. The photos you chose are super -- my favorite is the old car. Really colorful and full of life for an old thing, isn't it? I'll definitely be back for more.

Best,
Bella

ps. I was an account exec, too!
