Ebay?

So my wife has been nagging me lately to get my prints on Ebay. Honestly, I’m thinking, why should I? I already sell matted prints from my website, so why do I need another outlet. But her sister’s husband used to have a lot of success with sports collectibles on ebay, and well, she seems to have a way of getting me to cave in on pretty much everything. So ok, why not.

So what I’ve decided to do is take a couple of pieces I have left over from the Evening With the Enemy art show I did last month here in Venice, CA, and post some of that on ebay. That was a really fun show by the way, at Focus Studio literally 4 steps from the beach, right on the boardwalk in Venice. There were all kinds of artists including photographers, painters, sculptors and performance artists. It was a lot of fun, and I actually did pretty good that night.

Anyway, the Mrs. said she’ll take care of all the posting and such, so that’s certainly a load off. But as an advertising guy by trade, I wouldn’t be worth my salt if I didn’t throw in a shameless plug here (just click through the picture to get to the auction page on ebay). Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my FJ off roading post. Oh it is always cool to get snow in Arizona and on memorial day weekend...unbelievable! We are head for Ouray Colorado in July for more FJ off-roading events...it's such a beautiful place. As the person above said...you should take a look at Etsy to sell your work. There is an earlier, "artist series" post on my blog about Eglipater who also does beautiful artwork and has sold pieces on Etsy...you should check it out. Much more reasonable than Ebay, but probably a longer wait...

Paul - check out Etsy, a place to buy and sell handmade. People are more apt to appreciate artists on Etsy, and understand the time and effort it takes. Really!

Thanks for dropping by my site. I also am trying to sell handcrafted items. I am trying to sell using the paypal widget and I also tried with WP auctions.

Have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by my blog....have you tried etsy? it's really a better place to get quality clients for an artistic item, or items like photography.

More like a art fair than a yard sale.

As silly as this may sound to you ...try etsy. It's EASY for the seller and buyer and the presentation is so much better. Not a busy and confusing.
So there uyou go...my two cents worth

Hey Paul ~ Good luck with eBay (which is where I have had great success with my art)!

As the others have stated before...Etsy is a viable option as well.

Good luck with whatever path you choose. Your photography is great! :-)

PS: I will have to check out your MySpace page soon as well!

Best Regards,
Chris

Hey Paul, Don't give up on Ebay. You have to get you name out there first. Once you do you will eventually get a following. It doesn't happen over night. It has taken me a long time to get where I am at this point and time.

I feel the same way as Chris. Try Etsy as well. It has been good for me too. It doesn't hurt to try.

Listen to your wife. She sounds like a smart women! He He!

Good luck to you. Hope to see more pictures in the future!!!
